Demonetisation Hits Karan Singh Grover, Kunal Roy Kapoor & Ravi Dubey
The trio was anxiously waiting for 3 Dev to release in January, but will now have to wait much longer
The ban on Rs 500 and 1000 notes has delayed Karan Singh
Grover's upcoming film 3 Dev.
The film which was supposed to be released in January has been postponed
to a later date. Clearly the makers believe that the cash crunch scenario will
remain until January.
The film also stars Ravi Dubey, Kunal Roy Kapoor, Kay Kay
Menon and Raima Sen.
3 Dev directed by Ankoosh Bhatt (Bhindi Bazaar and Mumbai Mirror) has already been delayed due to a variety for reasons and any further delay will not help its cause.
A source close to the development says, "3 Dev is a massy film and
the makers were targetting it for single screens. Now, single screens are run
more on cash. Hence, it makes no sense to take a risk."
We hear, Karan, Kunal and Ravi are extremely disappointed about the
delay.
Karan's last film Hate Story 3 which released a year back
was a hit. There are reports of him hosting a travel show, but there has been
no official announcement in that regard yet. Did that one get washed away by
demonetisation? Karan and Bipasha
were supposed to co- host a MTV reality show Love School but they quit
that for reasons best known to them.
Nothing worth shouting has happened in the recent past for Kunal Roy
Kapoor and Ravi Dubey either.
